Event Details

The recent announcement of the new low carbon economic area focusing on hydrogen and the successful companies in the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Demonstrator Programme, highlighted the growing recognition of the potential which fuel cells and hydrogen offer across various parts of Government. These and other programmes are helping the UK fuel cell and hydrogen industry to develop strong businesses able to compete globally and help the delivery a variety of policy goals.

Following the election of new UK Government, the way in which support evolves over coming months will be critical in shaping future success. The Energy Generation and Supply Knowledge Transfer Network, in collaboration with Welsh Assembly Government and University of Glamorgan, would like to invite you to join us for an event which will give you the opportunity to update on strategic thinking on fuel cells and hydrogen, and its implications, across key high level public sector funding stakeholders.

By attending the event you will:

  • Learn about the factors influencing strategic thinking on fuel cells and hydrogen at both the UK and
    European level;
  • Gain insight into how this is translating into support policies and actions;
  • Explore potential short and medium term developments in the funding landscape; and
  • Update on recent and planned fuel cell and hydrogen activity in Wales

Speakers will include representatives from:

  • The Department of Energy and Climate Change,
  • The Technology Strategy Board,
  • The Carbon Trust,
  • The Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking,
  • The Welsh Assembly Government / University of Glamorgan

This event is free to attend. Please be aware places are limited and are allocated on a first come first served basis. Admission will be restricted to registered delegates only. A detailed agenda for the day, together with directions to the venue, will be circulated to registered attendees shortly.

If you have not already registered for the EG&S KTN please do so here and become a member of the fuel cell and hydrogen priority group of the Energy Generation and Supply KTN. This will ensure that you receive updates on future  fuel cell and hydrogen events and can access all articles and reports on our pages. We look forward to seeing you in September!

Please note that the outputs from this event will be disseminated via the KTN website.
